The Planning function is a key team to Millers' success. Our Planners work side by side with the buying team looking at trend analysis, best sellers, forecasting stock, building bottom up sales plans, replenishment & marketing plans – to name just a few of the tasks in this busy & fast paced team. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be a key member of the Planning team, utilising all your analytical skills acquired across apparel.

You must be a highly motivated and passionate fashion professional, able to play a key role in supporting the merchandise function; effectively and systematically providing and generating accurate information for allocation, planning, stock replenishment and trading purposes.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Planning Team to effectively forecast stock, margin and develop a well-balanced range framework which offers the right mix of product
  • Build & propose all OTB & option plan framework
  • Review and monitor range plans regularly with the Planners, Allocators and Buyers
  • Experience using WSSI and managing Line Cards
  • Sales analysis by category to define buy quantities in line with store grade requirements to assist with reforecast activity
  • Preparing weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting
  • Attend regular meetings to present best and worst selling reports
  • Category post seasonal review & development of seasonal category strategy deadlines
  • Markdown management to minimise aged inventory


To be successful you will have a number of years' experience in Merchandise Planning within Fashion and have experience in managing a multistore retail business. Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to manage and deliver retail-reporting utilising advanced Excel skills. You are customer focused, results driven and communicative in your natural working style. You love being part of a team and have a strong work ethic to deliver the results needed.
